Why base your European logistics in Poland

Poland has become one of the most cost-effective distribution bases in the European Union — without giving up delivery speed to the largest Western markets.

Cost

Roughly half the warehousing cost of Germany

Logistics space in Poland rents at about €3.60–5.75 per square metre, against €7.50–10 for comparable space in eastern Germany. Total operating costs typically run 30–40% below German levels.

Speed

Next-day reach across Central Europe

From Wrocław it is around 3.5 hours by truck to Berlin and 3 hours to Dresden. Germany, Czechia, Slovakia and most of Poland are next-day destinations.

Compliance

Customs cleared once, then free circulation

Goods cleared for import in Poland move freely inside the EU with no further customs formalities. We handle EORI registration and the import process.

What we handle

We do not rent out empty square metres. You keep the sales; we run everything that happens to the goods once they leave the factory.

Import and customs clearance

Ocean, rail, road and air freight from Asia or elsewhere, customs clearance in Poland and delivery into the warehouse.

Storage and inventory control

Receiving, racked storage, WMS records, cycle counts and agreed stock reporting. You pay for the space you actually occupy.

E-commerce fulfilment

Order picking, packing, labelling and courier dispatch across Poland and the EU, including returns processing and re-labelling.

Marketplace fulfilment

Amazon FBA replenishment and FBM self-shipping, plus local-stock fulfilment for the TEMU, SHEIN and TikTok Shop semi-managed models, which require goods to be held and shipped inside Europe. Allegro — the largest marketplace in Poland — and eBay are handled from the same stock.

Value-added services

Barcode and compliance labelling, manual insertion, kitting and bundling, simple quality checks with photo reports — billed per operation.

B2B distribution

Full-pallet and full-truck deliveries to distributors and retail chains across Europe, with transport and documentation arranged by CargoNet.

Sea ports, air cargo and customs

Most warehouse operators start work once a truck backs up to the dock. We start earlier — at the port or the airport — and we clear the goods ourselves, because CargoNet is a licensed freight forwarder, not only a warehouse.

Sea ports

Container collection and clearance at source

We handle containers arriving at Gdańsk and Gdynia, as well as Hamburg, Bremerhaven, Rotterdam and Antwerp: terminal release, demurrage and detention control, drayage to the warehouse, devanning and put-away. Arriving via the Baltic ports and clearing in Poland usually beats routing through a Western European port and trucking the goods east.

Air cargo

Airport handling for urgent shipments

Import and export via Warsaw, Wrocław, Katowice and the major European hubs, including AWB handling, ground handling agent coordination and same-day or next-day delivery to the warehouse when a stockout is imminent.

Customs

Clearance and procedures under one roof

Import and export clearance, EORI registration, tariff classification and duty rate confirmation, direct and indirect customs representation, customs procedure 42 for goods moving on to another EU country, transit documents and bonded storage arrangements. One company answers for the goods from the port to the shelf.

Four locations, one point of contact

We match the site to your inbound route, product profile and customer base. Whichever warehouse handles your goods, you deal with one account manager and one invoicing entity.

Wrocław — Pietrzykowice (our own site)

Class-A facility on the A4 corridor. The natural main stock location for anyone shipping towards Germany and Western Europe.

Gdańsk

Next to the Baltic ports — sensible when containers arrive by sea and you want to avoid inland drayage. Covers northern Poland.

Warsaw

Central Poland, the strongest courier coverage in the country. Suited to nationwide e-commerce and centralised returns handling.

Kielce

Central-southern Poland, industrial customers and flexible short-term or seasonal storage projects.

Why work with us

We are the freight forwarder too. CargoNet arranges the ocean, rail and air legs and clears customs itself — you are not coordinating a forwarder and a warehouse separately.
A representative in China. We have someone on the ground handling factories and suppliers, so inspections, collections and bookings do not depend on a translator.
A Polish legal entity. Contracts and invoices come from a Polish limited company, which is what EU customers and marketplaces expect.
Costs tied to activity. You pay for space actually occupied and operations actually performed — more in peak season, less off-season.

For warehouse owners

Own a warehouse in Poland? Join our partner network

We are expanding the network across all of Poland and are looking for logistics operators and owners of spare warehouse space. We bring the client, you run the operations in your own facility. Indicative starting point: from around 500 m² or 300 pallet positions, docks or a ramp, security, valid insurance for goods held in custody, your own team and a WMS.

Commercial model — paid on results. For every client we refer we charge a one-off success fee once the operation goes live, then a percentage commission on that client's turnover for the first 12 months. After that the client stays with you with no further fees. No upfront charges, no membership fee — if we do not deliver a client, you pay nothing.

Frequently asked questions

Is there a minimum volume?

No hard threshold. A few pallets or a single container is a realistic starting point, and a one-off trial shipment before committing is fine.

How is pricing structured?

Storage is charged per pallet position or square metre occupied; handling is charged per operation — receiving, picking, packing, labelling, dispatch. You get both lines separately, not one blended rate.

Can you clear customs and advance duty and VAT?

Yes, on a project basis. We confirm the commodity codes and duty rates first, and the quote states how import charges are handled.

How do we see stock levels?

Inventory is kept in a WMS with stock and movement reports at an agreed frequency. Larger accounts can be given a direct query route.

Which languages do you work in?

Polish and English day to day, with German and Chinese available. We have a representative in China for supplier-side matters.
